Modified wood manufacturer to build second factoryFriday 20 Nov 2015 Norwegian modified wood manufacturer Kebony has raised 177.5M Norwegian Kronor (NOK), equivalent to around €19.05M, to fund the construction of a second factory in Belgium, Property Magazine International has reported. CEO Christian Jebsen said international sales had increased by an average of 35% over the last seven years, and demand was about to exceed capacity at the company's existing plant in Vold.The chairman of Kebony's board, Thomas Hoegh, described the plan to develop its first facility on the European mainland as a milestone for the company. He said the Flanders region in Belgium was the perfect location as a hub for future growth. Innovations, developments and trends in wood treatment, including modified wood, composites and EWP, is a key theme for next years’ Wood Innovations 2016 event being run in both Australia and New Zealand in mid-late May.
